On November 6, 2023, in a dazzling display of talent, community engagement, and goodwill, the Rotaract Club of DTU Regency orchestrated the Uphaar: Diwali Mela, transforming the Delhi Technological University campus into a vibrant tapestry of cultural celebrations and philanthropy.
Dynamic Performances Take Centre Stage
Over 30,000 attendees gathered on the grounds as various DTU societies showcased their diverse talents in dramatics, dance, music, rap, and beatboxing. Each performance brought a unique flavor to the stage, captivating the audience and adding to the festive atmosphere. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. S. Indu, Vice Chancellor of Delhi Technological University, and Prof. Ruchika Malhotra, Head of the Department of Software Engineering, along with other distinguished dignitaries.

Inclusive Fun for Underprivileged Children
The Rotaract Club’s commitment to community welfare shone brightly as underprivileged children from NGOs were warmly welcomed to participate in various fun games, including the Gol Gappa League, Pull-Up Challenge, Tug of War, Beat the Shazam, and many more. The joyous experience was further enhanced as NGOs set up stalls, showcasing and selling their products to raise funds for their noble causes.
Illuminating Lives with Lanterns
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the day concluded with a magical lantern lighting ceremony, casting a spell of enchantment over the festivities. The warm glow symbolized the collective spirit of the community coming together for a noble cause.

All proceeds generated during the event will be donated to the Blind Relief Association, Delhi, emphasizing the Rotaract Club’s unwavering commitment to community welfare.
