Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune recently hosted its annual fest, Transcend 2024, turning the campus into a cosmic playground for talent, innovation, and entertainment. With the theme, ‘The World of Cosmic Chronicles,’ the event went beyond being just a fest, offering students an immersive experience in the realms of management and B-school education.
Day 1: Setting the Cosmic Tone
Kicking off on January 9th, Transcend 2024 started with the oath-taking ceremony for ‘Last Man Standing,’ the fest’s flagship event. Dr. S B Mujumdar and Dr. R Raman graced the occasion, adding prestige to the official inauguration. Kumar Varun, a stand-up comedy maestro, then took the stage, infusing laughter into the serious business of academia. The day unfolded as an intellectual battleground with events like ‘Greatbull’ (Finance) and ‘Prometheus’ (Product Management), challenging participants strategically. Cultural showcases like ‘Kaleidoscope’ and ‘Bellisimo’ brought a vibrant touch to the proceedings.
The first pro night was a star-studded affair, featuring performances by Dikshant, the voice behind “Tum Aankho Se Batana Hum Samajh Jayenge,” and other renowned artists. ‘Sabali’ – The Band and Project 91 added soulful renditions and dynamic beats, creating an unforgettable night of entertainment.
Day 2: Cosmic Fervor Takes Over
Day 2 saw top B-school participants engaging in fierce competitions like ‘Chrysalis’ (HR), ‘OpsCon’ (Operations), and ‘Marketshastra’ (Marketing). Gaurav Kapoor’s stand-up comedy and the Moonwalk dance competition added a delightful and enchanting touch to the day. The ‘Cosmic Chords’ battle of the bands took the energy to new heights during the second Pro Nite with performances by Ankit Tiwari and DJ Ravator.
Day 3: The Grand Finale
Day 3 marked the zenith of Transcend 2024 with the Grand Finale of “Last Man Standing,” offering an impressive cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakhs. The day continued to captivate with the unique “Under-the-Hammer” Cricket Auction event and intellectual engagements like ‘Strategia’ and ‘Mindcraft.’ The spotlight was on the soulful performances of ‘Euphonic Echoes’ (Solo Singing) participants and the much-awaited Artist Night featuring Shaan, TrapperX, and DJ Xtacy. As Shaan’s melodies echoed and the beats reverberated through the venue, Transcend 2024 concluded on a high note, solidifying its status as a cosmic celebration of talent, innovation, and entertainment.
