Let’s see how the Artists Define Holi

Faizal shared his perspective, saying, “Holi, for me, is a celebration of colours where I can reunite with friends and have a great time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather with loved ones, something we often miss out on in our busy schedules. Let’s dance and revel in the music together.”

Kalrav expressed, “Holi represents the vibrant hues of life; it’s truly the festival of colours. Without these colours, life would feel dull and incomplete. Each colour symbolizes various aspects of life, and together, they convey life’s beautiful message.”

Initial Release and Evolution

‘Tu Meri Holi’ was initially released on some audio platforms few years back, but the makers wanted to repurpose it especially for the youth by enhancing the composition and creating a music video. And ‘Tu Meri Holi’ is the result of Faizal Suleman and Kalrav Sarojwal’s passion for this song.

The Idea Behind the Song

The artists aimed to create a modern, upbeat track that resonated with today’s youth. Drawing inspiration from the festival of colours, they infused the song with a desi Indian flavour to capture the essence of Holi.

Music Video Concept and Characters

“Kalrav, Rishabh, and me along with the entire GrooveNexus team came together for this version of music video made available to audience,” says Faizal on music video concept.

The music video revolves around a festive Holi celebration, where people come together in a joyous atmosphere. The narrative follows two couples who develop feelings for each other during the festivities.

Lyrics and Musical Changes

The lyrics incorporate the word “Holi” to emphasize the festival’s significance, while also playing on the Hindi word “Ho Li” to convey a sense of belonging. The composition and music style underwent significant changes, shifting from a folk sound to a more contemporary pop-Bollywood vibe, catering to the tastes of the younger audience. The song is a duet, adding to its liveliness and charm as it narrates the story of two friends attending a Holi party and experiencing infatuation with the girls.

Says the Director of ‘Tu Meri Holi’

Rishabh Tyagi talks about his new song ‘Tu Meri Holi’, saying it’s all about love this year. The lyrics say, “This Holi will be Holi of Love,” so that’s what the song is all about.

They made sure to include all the fun parts of Holi in the music video like bhang, colors, abeer-gulaal, and pichkari. They wanted to capture the joyful spirit of the festival with dancing, drama, flirting, and a DJ party. They worked hard to make the video as rich and exciting as possible. The choreographers did a great job with the dance moves, and the models showed their friendship and lively side.

The video follows two girls who keep running into Faizal Suleman and Kalrav Sarojwal throughout the Holi celebrations. They exchange glances, smiles, and have fun together, which eventually leads to them falling in love.
