BTS celebrates 10th anniversary with new music, special letters to fans

BTS 10th anniversary

K-pop sensation BTS is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, the group has released a new single, “Take Two,” and written special letters to its fans.

In their letters, BTS members RM, Jin, and Jimin expressed gratitude to their fans for their support over the past decade.

Jin said he was sad to be unable to celebrate the anniversary with the fans in person, but he was proud of what the group had accomplished.

“I should have filmed more content before I joined the army. I don’t know how to express my apologies. As far as I know, the remaining members are working hard on the 10th-anniversary content,” Jin wrote.

RM said the group shares a special bond with their fans and would not be where they are today without them.

“The concerns and ambivalence I had at 17 and 20 are still valid. As I grew up, there were so many things in the world that words and writings alone could not explain. And I learned that things that didn’t seem to change will change someday,” RM penned for his fans.

Celebrations and Honours for BTS Across South Korea

In addition to the new music and letters, BTS is also being celebrated across South Korea. Landmarks in Seoul, such as the City Hall, Han River bridges, and Lotte World Tower, have been lit up in purple, the group’s color. Postal authorities have also issued stamps to commemorate the anniversary.

Jimin thanked the fans for always loving and supporting them.

“I’ve told you ARMYs a few times already; it’s not easy to support and love someone and give them strength for no particular reason. That is why I am able to understand how happy we are.

“You, who made us feel this way, should feel overflowing happiness and receive love. You must. Understand? ARMY, whom I am always thankful to and love. Let’s be happy for a long, long time,” Jimin said.

BTS is one of the most popular K-pop groups in the world, and their music has helped to put Korean culture on the global map. The group has won numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination, and has sold millions of albums worldwide.

BTS is on hiatus, but the members have said they plan to reunite in 2025. In the meantime, fans can celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary by listening to their music, watching their videos, and reading their letters.
