Jungkook, a prominent member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, is set to delight fans with a highly anticipated “mini album” slated for release by November. The news comes after the recent successful launch of his debut solo single ‘Seven,’ featuring American rapper Latto.
In a candid conversation with his BTS bandmate Suga on the talk show ‘Suchwita,’ Jungkook tantalized fans with exciting updates on his musical journey. He disclosed, “I have another single. And then, I’ll be releasing a mini album by November.”
Despite the overwhelming response to ‘Seven,’ the 25-year-old star acknowledged the challenges of producing follow-up tracks that meet his artistic vision. When asked if he had completed the collection, he humbly confessed, “No. I have to start working on them now. I also want a song like [‘Seven’] for my second single, but I haven’t found it.”
The supportive friend, Suga, 30, offered to assist Jungkook by writing a song for him, reflecting the camaraderie among the BTS members.
Notably, BTS Jungkook revealed that the discovery of ‘Seven‘ played a pivotal role in inspiring him to return from his hiatus. He shared, “The moment I heard it, I was like, ‘I have to do this.’ Without the song ‘Seven,’ I might’ve still been on a break right now. I was totally enjoying my time off, and this song got me started again.”
‘Cool’ pop star
Jungkook has expressed his aspiration to evolve as a “cool” pop star with a growing passion for music. In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, he said, “That’s why I’m doing this. I want to be that kind of pop star someday – I want to experience that feeling. I hope the day comes when I can look at myself from a third-person perspective and give myself that kind of recognition. I’ll know I’m that kind of pop star once I can do that.”
Last month, Jungkook treated fans to two captivating remixes for ‘Seven.’ The ‘Summer Mix’ exudes a dance-centric vibe, while the ‘Band Ver’ version highlights the acoustic guitar and introduces traditional drums.
Reflecting on the song’s creation, Jungkook revealed, “[The song] wasn’t something I planned either. Producer Bang Si-hyuk just played it for me, and it was so good, I said, ‘Oh, I have to do this one.'”
As anticipation builds for Jungkook’s upcoming mini album, fans worldwide await the next chapter in his musical journey, eagerly embracing the creativity and talent of this celebrated K-pop artist.
