Big Hit Music, the record label behind BTS, has officially confirmed that ‘3D’ will hit the airwaves on Friday, September 29, 2023. The record label describes the track as a “pop R’n’B masterpiece with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions.”
To build anticipation for the release, Big Hit Music has also shared a series of visually captivating promotional materials.
This announcement comes on the heels of Jungkook’s successful debut solo single, ‘Seven,’ in collaboration with American rapper Latto. As if ‘3D’ isn’t enough to satiate fans, Jungkook has revealed plans to drop a “mini album” by November, setting the stage for even more musical brilliance.
In a recent conversation with fellow BTS member Suga on the talk show ‘Suchwita,’ Jungkook disclosed, “I have another single. And then, I’ll be releasing a small mini album by November.” He also admitted that following up the success of ‘Seven’ has been a challenge, saying, “I want a song like [‘Seven’] for my second single too, but I haven’t found it.” In response, Suga playfully suggested he write a song for Jungkook.
Jungkook shared a candid revelation about his hiatus: “The moment I heard it [‘Seven’], I was like, ‘I have to do this.’ Without the song ‘Seven,’ I might’ve still been on a break right now. I was totally enjoying my time off, and this song got me started again.”
In a recent interview, he expressed his musical ambitions, saying, “I hope the day comes that I can look at myself from a third-person perspective and give myself that kind of recognition. I’ll know I’m that kind of pop star once I can do that.”
