1. Best Dance/Electronic Recording,
2. Best Dance/ Electronic Music Album,
3. Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical
-at the 2023 Grammy awards. He is set to mark his return to Indian shores with an epic headline set at Lollapalooza India! Diplo is easily one of the biggest, most established names in the world of electronic music & the creative force behind Major Lazer.
Diplo began his career as a DJ and achieved his first taste of significant success working as a producer and co-writer on MIA’s 2007 album, Kala, which included the Diplo-produced hit “Paper Planes.” That success led to Diplo becoming a very much in-demand studio collaborator.
He has since worked with artists such as Chris Brown, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi, Shakira, Ariana Grande, and Beyoncé. Interestingly, Diplo took his stage name from the Diplodocus dinosaur, a creature he was fascinated with as a child.
Featuring over 40 artists across a wide variety of sounds, styles, and eras, four stages at the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai will be lit up, reverberating with chart-topping music both globally and in India, for over 20 hours with unforgettable live music, art and culture on January 28th-29th, 2023.
