Ali Abbas Zafar, known for blockbuster hits like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, returns to the big screen after six years with “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.” This star-studded film features Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F. However, confusion loomed over its release date as it was initially slated for an Eid release on April 10th.

But, with Eid shifting to April 11th, the film had to adjust its plans. This caused a dilemma as advance booking had already begun, with tickets sold for the 10th. Speculations arose regarding paid premieres for the 10th, but it was eventually decided on Monday that refunds would be issued for tickets purchased for the 10th, and screenings would commence only from the 11th. Notably, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is up against Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan.”

Despite the clash, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is leading the race. According to Sacnilk, advance bookings for the film have opened for around 4000 shows, selling approximately 16000 tickets and accumulating a total of Rs 39.12 lakhs. Prithviraj’s presence expands the film’s reach as it releases not just in Hindi but also in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages, along with IMAX format screenings.
For the cast and crew, much is at stake with this film. Both Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are in need of a hit after a dry spell, and for director Ali Abbas Zafar, this marks a crucial return to the limelight after six years without a major hit.
