K-pop band BTS set a new world record with its 12th victory at the Billboard Music Awards, breaking the American girl group Destiny’s Child’s record of 11 wins at the prestigious award event. Destiny’s Child held the record for 17 years.
On Sunday, BTS bagged three awards at the Billboard Music Awards 2022, adding to their total of nine wins in 2017. The award show was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Dan + Shay were among the other winners at the awards show.
