Michael Jackson’s record-setting ‘Thriller’ album remains a timeless classic even after 40 years of its record-breaking response. Sony Music and The Estate of Michael Jackson announced the global campaign launch to celebrate the 40th-anniversary landmark album. The Michael Jackson Estate and Sony Music will arrange fan events worldwide for the campaign, including immersive experiences, screenings of the Thriller 40 documentary, and other fan gatherings.
The 40th anniversary of the world’s best-selling album of all time will entertain the new and die-hard fans of Michael Jackson. The two immersive experiences will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from November 10-13 and in New York City, from November 18-20. These experiences are designed to transport the attendees into the world of the iconic album Thriller with specific track-focused experiences. It also includes interactive elements and social media/photo opportunities throughout the event for an unforgettable experience.
A private one-time-only screening of the Thriller 40 documentary will be given to the Fans in eight other cities worldwide. It will be aired on November 30 in:

- Madrid
- Amsterdam
- Manila
- Seoul
Additionally, parties with a Thriller theme will be held in other places to celebrate the release of the new, enlarged record. For the first time, they will get the chance to listen to the entire double-disc album:
