Roxy Music is back. The rock band has announced its first tour in almost 11 years, beginning its 50th-anniversary reunion tour in September. Roxy Music will perform in the US, Canada, and the UK in September and October.
Band members Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson have not performed together as a band since the ‘For Your Pleasure’ tour in 2011.
Roxy Music is an English rock band started in 1970 by Bryan Ferry, who continues to be the group’s lead singer and songwriter.
2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the band’s first album ‘Roxy Music’ released in 1972. The group will celebrate everything Roxy Music has achieved since its debut album.
Roxy Music will also reissue special anniversary editions of all eight of Roxy Music’s albums, celebrating the milestone anniversary throughout the year. Roxy Music released eight studio albums, namely Roxy Music (1972), For Your Pleasure (1973), Stranded (1973), Country Life (1974), Siren (1975), Manifesto (1979), Flesh and Blood (1980), and Avalon (1982).
Roxy Music has confirmed featuring the American musician Annie Clark, famous for her stage name St. Vincent, for most of the tour dates. However, the band is yet to confirm supporting artists for the UK and Boston shows.
