Niall Horan and John Legend Join Forces

Niall Horan has teamed up with John Legend to create a new version of the album’s title track, ‘The Show.’ John Legend, known for his hit ‘All of Me,’ brings his signature vocal prowess to this exciting collaboration, promising a musical treat for fans.

Duet with Lizzy McAlpine

Not stopping there, Niall has also partnered with the talented pop singer Lizzy McAlpine. Following a mesmerizing cover of Lizzy’s ‘Ceilings’ for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, the duo has worked on a new duet titled ‘You Could Start a Cult,’ set to be released on Friday, October 27, 2023. Niall expressed his admiration for Lizzy, saying, “I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a while now and am so grateful she was able to hop on the song and write a special new verse.”

Diverse Tracks on ‘The Show: The Encore’

The album, available digitally from November 5, 2023, with vinyl and CD versions arriving on April 5, 2024, offers a variety of tracks. It includes Niall’s rendition of Tears For Fears’ classic ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World,’ a live favorite among his fans.

The album also showcases performances from the Electric Picnic festival, Spotify Studios, and alternative renditions of ‘Meltdown’ and ‘On A Night Like Tonight’ from his Vevo Extended Play session.

Inspiration from Love

Niall previously shared that his girlfriend, Amelia Woolley, was a significant source of inspiration for the album’s “happier” tracks. The 2023 LP is imbued with songs inspired by their love, a departure from the typical heartbreak themes in many love songs.

Niall shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Yeah, 100 percent. I’m in a relationship, so I think that comes with [it]. Usually, the love songs are heartbreaking songs, so it’s nice to be able to write better, you know, happier stuff.” However, he humorously revealed that Amelia was “taken aback” to have songs written about her.
