Jungkook, a prominent member of the global sensation BTS, has surprised fans by expressing gratitude for the attention received from his haters. During a recent listening party for his latest solo hit ‘3D’ with Jack Harlow, the K-pop star acknowledged the existence of those who criticize his work and expressed his unique perspective on their negative comments.
While the BTS sensation clarified that he doesn’t like his haters, he emphasized his appreciation for their acknowledgment of his music. Jungkook stated, “There are plenty of people who don’t like me. It means they’re spending their time on me. I’d consider that some sort of interest, right? They’re different kinds of fans.”
He continued, “If they had absolutely no interest in me, they wouldn’t. So, I thank them for their time. I don’t like them, though. I don’t have to like them, do I? Of course, I love the ones who love me. I wouldn’t love people who say bad things about me. I work for those who support me.”
Jungkook, following the success of his debut solo single ‘Seven’ with American rapper Latto, has announced plans for a “mini album” expected to drop by November. During an appearance on his bandmate Suga’s talk show ‘Suchwita,’ Jungkook teased, “I have another single. And then, I’ll be releasing a small mini album by November.”
Challenged with following up on the success of ‘Seven,’ Jungkook admitted that he hadn’t completed the collection yet, stating, “No. I have to start working on them now. I also want a song like ‘Seven’ for my second single, but I haven’t found it.”
In a recent interview, Jungkook shared his musical ambitions, expressing his desire to become “more appreciated and be even better.” He revealed, “I hope the day comes that I can look at myself from a third-person perspective and give myself that kind of recognition. I’ll know I’m that kind of pop star once I can do that.”
Jungkook’s ability to remain grounded and appreciative of his fans, even in the face of criticism, continues to endear him to his global following as he embarks on his solo journey within the music industry.
