Jimin, the star BTS member, has made history by becoming the first South Korean solo artist to top Billboard’s Hot 100. Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ landed the No. 1 spot on the top US songs chart, ending the reign of Miley Cyrus’s ‘Flowers,’ which topped the charts for eight weeks.

According to the industry tracker, Jimin’s song from his debut solo album ‘Face’ has made history by being the 66th track to enter the top spot of the Hot 100 chart. This chart dates back to 1958 and considers US streaming, radio play, and sales data from all genres.
Jimin’s album ‘Face’ debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s primary albums chart, surpassing the record previously held by fellow BTS member RM’s “Indigo,” which peaked at No. 3 in December 2022. This achievement makes Jimin’s “Face” the highest-charting album by a solo South Korean musician.
Last month, Jimin’s debut solo album, ‘Face,’ set a record in Korea for selling over one million copies within 24 hours of its release.
Jimin hints at a possible BTS reunion
In June last year, BTS shocked the whole world by announcing an indefinite hiatus. The break has allowed the BTS stars to focus more on solo projects and complete their 18-month mandatory military service.
Before their hiatus, BTS had achieved six No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 chart, and all seven members of the boyband had also appeared on the top songs chart with their solo tracks.
However, the reunion of the Bangtan Boys is on the cards. A chat show hosted by BTS member Suga revealed that the beloved boyband is planning to reunite in 2025.
Jimin and Suga discussed their careers in a 36-minute video on YouTube and Weverse. During the video, they also disclosed an exciting prospect of BTS potentially reuniting.
With their worldwide stadium tours, chart-topping hits, and massive contributions to South Korea’s economy, BTS has become the country’s most significant cultural phenomenon. They have amassed a global fan base of ARMYs who support them fervently.
