Jennifer Lopez has announced the new album ‘This Is Me.. Now’ on the 20th anniversary of her 2002 hit ‘This Is Me.. Then.’ Her latest album, slated for a release in 2023, is a follow-up album to ‘This Is Me… Then.’
Jennifer Lopez released ‘This Is Me… Then’ in 2002, just after she was engaged to actor Ben Affleck. The 53-year-old singer dedicated the album to the Hollywood star and wrote a song titled ‘Dear Ben.’ However, the couple called off their engagement in 2004.
But by a stroke of luck, Jennifer and Ben rekindled their romance in 2021 and married earlier this year in a private ceremony in Las Vegas.
Jennifer Lopez shared the track listing and the names of 13 tracks, including the follow-up song Dear Ben Part II, that seem to have romantic overtones. Their romance may also be referenced by the song titles Greatest Love Story Never Told, To Be Yours, Can’t Get Enough, not. going. anywhere., and This Time Around, while Midnight Trip to Vegas is probably going to be about their spontaneous wedding in July in Las Vegas.
According to a press release, “This Is Me… Now chronicles the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades. The album is a philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment. It’s about hope, faith, and true love, never dying.”
Fans can anticipate hearing “a vulnerability” Jennifer has never displayed before as well as confessional songs and joyful “celebrations of love” on the ninth studio album, which marks her return to composing and producing.
