The Golden Globe Awards have honoured the song Naatu-Naatu from the movie RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli. The song “Naatu Naatu,” which became an anthem for fans, won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song. It was composed by MM Keeravani and sung by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
The dance number “Naatu Naatu” by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan competed against Taylor Swift’s “Carolina” from Where the Crawdads Sing and Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Other possibilities included Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, “Ciao Papa” from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, and

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Team RRR on the historic win.

The historical epic was also nominated for Best Non-English Language Film category at the 80th Golden Globes but eventually lost out to ‘Argentina 1985.’
