Robbie Williams announces new deluxe edition of multi-million-selling debut album ‘Life Thru A Lens’

Robbie Williams has announced a new deluxe edition of his multi-million-selling debut solo album, Life Thru A Lens, to be released on December 2 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the record.

The special expanded 4-CD album, released by UMe/Island Records, includes the original chart-topping record, as well as bonus tracks and B-sides, and the hit singles “Angels,” “Let Me Entertain You,” “Old Before I Die,” “Lazy Days,” and “South Of The Border.” The new edition will also include previously unreleased demos, rehearsal recordings, and rare remixes, as well as the first audio release of the complete concert recorded at London’s The Forum in June 1998, which was released on VHS tape and VCD the following November as “Live In Your Living Room” but never reissued.

Life Thru A Lens debuted in September 1997, spending two weeks at the top of the UK Album Chart and 92 weeks in the UK Top 40. It has sold 2.1 million copies in the United Kingdom alone. The deluxe edition will be available on four CDs, vinyl, and digital download.

Last month, Robbie’s XXV album, which topped the chart in its first week of release, earned him his 14th UK No. 1 album. With this incredible feat, the music legend has now surpassed The Beatles as the solo artist with the most UK Number One albums, with 15 albums to their credit. His solo albums and records with Take That have resulted in 19 chart-topping UK albums. With only Paul McCartney having more Number 1 singles overall, it puts him in the top two artists of all time.
