According to a report in the Times of India, the Monte Music Festival will move from the original venue of Our Lady of Monte chapel to the nearby Monte Santo (Holy Hill) on April 23-24. The festival is being held at another venue due to the restoration work of Our Lady of Monte chapel.

Two Goan Choirs will grace the 20th edition of the festival at the Church of Santa Monica in Old Goa.

Stuti will open the festival before Parvesh Java performing on part-II of G F Handel’s three-part oratorio, Messiah. Pianist Nadine Crasto and violinist Eshvita Menezes will join the bandwagon, including the tenor Kersi Gazdar and baritone Rahul Bharadwaj.

On the final day on Sunday, the Ektaal children’s choir, comprising 45 children from Panaji and Vasco, will present a ‘Harmony in Hope’ program.
