“Main Tota Main Tota” is a nursery rhyme in Hindi made for kids, which helps them to identify different colours and the sounds produced by a parrot, and its eating habits. It’s a fun rhyme where children can play, sing and learn together.

“Mummy Ki Roti Gol Gol” is a rhyme which introduces the kids to things that are circular in shape. It helps them identify some objects that are round, as well as teaches family values and affection.

In this rhyme, the kids ask their maternal grandmother for ice-cream where she refuses, and so the kids cook up an interesting story of the robbers stealing her peacock and peahen. It teaches the children moral values, that we shouldn’t steal anything, and is also a very mesmerizingly presented rhyme cum song.

7. Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao

“Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao” was a song from the Movie ‘Gharana’, released in 1961. This timeless song evolved as a nursery rhyme, where children try to persuade their paternal grandmother, who, for some reason is exasperated. It portrays the love and respect that children should have for their grandparents.

8. Re Mama Re Mama Re

“Re Mama Re Mama Re” is a song cum Hindi rhyme for kids. The song was from the movie Andaz which released in 1971 starring the famous Shammi Kapoor. In this rhyme, a daughter after being scolded by her mother gets upset and sulky while her father tries to tell a story and cheer her up, beautifully portraying father-daughter bond.

9. Lakdi Ki Kaathi

“Lakdi Ki Kathi was an old Hindi song from ‘Masoom’ released in 1983, so highly loved and appreciated that it became an all time kids’ favourite in every home. In this rhyme, a boy and his friends imagine their toy horse to be a real one and think of the places where the horse can take them.

10. Chu Chu Karti Aayi Chidiya

“Chu Chu Karti Aayi Chidiya” is now a well known nursery rhyme, which was a song from the movie ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahin’. In this rhyme the kids see a bird collecting its food and merrily sing a song around her, listening to which other animals also participate in it.
