About the Young Legend
Born Martijn Gerard Garritsen in the Netherlands, Garrix gained popularity through his solo release “Animals”. The song became a hit in Europe and Garrix became the youngest person to reach No. 1 on Beatport. The young legend of 22 is a big name in EDM space. Already one of electronic dance music’s youngest superstars, garnering a high-streaming and chart-topping musical legacy along the way. He topped DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for three sequential years, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The first was awarded to him at the age of 20, making him its youngest-ever receiver.
He has played at all principal festivals around the world, including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, and Creamfields. The closing celebrations of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea was headlined by him. At such a young age he is also the founder of label STMPD RCRDS in 2016.
