The sixth edition of North-East Festival Delhi 2018 is all set to celebrate the glory of the eight sisters. It will commence from 26th October 2018 and go on till 28th October 2018. It will be hosted at IGNCA, Janpath from 10 AM.

Initiative
North East strikes its chord with the country’s capital Delhi to showcase its diversity and culture. A vivid carnival of various dance forms of North East, folk music, rock music of the region, North Eastern food delicacies, Handloom & Handicraft Exhibition, traditional sports etc. North East Festival Delhi 2018 is also a platform to discuss the crucial issues of North East, tourism, Act East Policy etc.
Their motto is to bridge the gap of the 8 sisters with the rest of the country. The event is considered as the largest ever festival on North East India in National capital. It highlights the concrete features of the region which is so full of colors, resources, talent, and victory stories.
The First Edition of North East Festival (NEF) was organized on 8th and 9th November 2013. For the first time in the history, 8 North Eastern State Governments joined hands to showcase the North East. India’s North East, comprising of 8 states, namely, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura, has enormous vibrancy. Popular across the country, North East Festival Delhi has become a platform for taking up several issues of the North Eastern region.
The Festival

This year they have 40 musical acts to keep the crowd glued. One of the key performers on the opening night is MC HEAM. He is one of the scouts of Indian Hip-Hop and Desi Rap Circuit. Recently featured on AR Rahman’s music “Beyond the Clouds”, he will be performing along with RJaY Mangkhom. Catch them live on Day 1, i.e. 26th October 2018.
