Celebrating Digital Pioneers: Highlights of the National Creators Award 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently spearheaded the National Creators Awards 2024, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at honouring the efforts of social media content creators across India. Held at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Delhi, this event marked the inauguration of an annual tradition to acknowledge and celebrate the impactful contributions of digital creators.

Objectives of the Awards

The primary objective of the National Creators Award 2024 was to acknowledge the pivotal role of social media creators in India’s journey towards digital transformation. As the digital content creation industry burgeons into a billion-dollar sector, these creators serve as catalysts for societal change and growth. Through these awards, the government sought to motivate and recognize the tireless efforts of Indian creators.

The awards were distributed across 20 distinct categories, spanning a diverse array of content creation fields. These categories included:

  1. Best Storyteller
  2. Celebrity Creator of the Year
  3. Disruptor of the Year
  4. Green Champion Award
  5. Cultural Ambassador of the Year
  6. Best Creator for Social Change
  7. Most Impactful Agri Creator
  8. International Creator Award
  9. Best Travel Creator Award
  10. Heritage Fashion Icon Award
  11. Most Creative Creator (Male and Female)
  12. Best Creator in Gaming Category
  13. Best Creator in the Food Category
  14. Best Creator in the Education Category
  15. Best Nano Creator
  16. Best Micro Creator
  17. Best Health and Fitness Creator
  18. Tech Creator Award
  19. Swachhta Ambassador Award
  20. New India Champion Award

Selection Process of The Creators

The nomination process for the National Creators Awards 2024 began with an invitation for nominations through the Innovate India website. Over 1.5 Lakh entries were received during the nomination window, showcasing the widespread participation and enthusiasm of Indian youth. Subsequently, a voting phase ensued, with approximately 10 Lakh votes cast to determine the winners across various categories.
