Tim made the dance-pop edm mainstream worldwide music scene by mixing edm music with many different musical sounds. In 1989, Tim Bergling was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Multi-genre musical experiences and sounds played an important role in the upbringing of Avici. By 16, he was mixing different tunes in his bedroom, and began writing and composing melodic and uplifting electronic music soon after.
In 2011 Tim released his major hit dance song ‘Levels’ under the artist’s name “Avicii,” breaking ground and cracking charts as one of the first electronic music tracks to climb the Pop charts worldwide.
From 2011 to 2016, Avici played an approx of 220 lives shows globally, including a five-year regular residency in Ibiza club and 16,000-person sold-out shows at the Ericsson Globe arena in Stockholm. In 2013 bluegrass-house-hybrid “Wake Me Up, broke all the records. Avici was the first music producer and DJ who got the major spotlight worldwide that is previously reserved for vocalists and instrumentalists.
At the age of 28, Avici struggled with mental health for a few years and died by suicide in 2018.
Tim Bergling Foundation organization founded by the Tim’s family to honor Tim’s legacy and life, the main aim of foundation is to remove the stigma of suicide and promote mental health awareness among young people worldwide.
