Popular TV Actor Rituraj Singh Dies at 59: A Tribute to His Legacy

Popular television actor Rituraj Singh passed away at the age of 59 after suffering a heart attack on February 20. His close friend, actor Amit Behl, confirmed this sad news. Behl mentioned that Rituraj had a heart attack around 12:30 am on February 20 and had been undergoing treatment for pancreas-related issues.

Producer Sandiip Sikcand expressed his shock and sorrow over Rituraj’s death. He recalled working closely with Rituraj in the TV show ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’ and praised him not only as a talented actor but also as a wonderful person. Sikcand extended his condolences to Rituraj’s family and hoped for their strength during this difficult time.

Rituraj Singh was recently known for his role as Yashpal in the popular TV series ‘Anupamaa’ starring Rupali Ganguly. Throughout his career, he had appeared in various TV shows including ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, alongside actors like R Madhavan, the late Irrfan Khan, and Surekha Sikri.

 

Besides television, Rituraj had also acted in soap operas like ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ‘Trideviyaan’, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, and even made appearances in movies like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
