Introduction

Swatej Agrawal popularly known by his stage name, Swattrex is a music producer and DJ from New Delhi, India. With more than 55 + tracks released till now, he has crossed over 21 million streams independently on multiple music platforms.

Early life

Swattrex was born in Uttar Pradesh, India and finished his education from Indraprastha University, Delhi, India. He was very fond of music since his childhood and during his graduation, he started learning music production and sound engineering from YouTube. He even started performing for Sunburn India, Majestic Music festivals and several other festivals in India at the age of 18.

Career

In 2015, he dropped a year after school to prepare for IIT. Iin that year, he started listening to Avicii and Tiesto’s songs and started exploring genres in EDM. After that, he was inspired to make music on his own. When he could not clear JEE Advanced, he was disheartened and but still got admission in the IP University in Delhi.

When he entered college, he started exploring music and wanted to pursue it professionally as well. He started learning music from YouTube and started creating music on his laptop using Fl studio in his bedroom. He learned full-fledged music production via YouTube and started creating his own music. He learned sound design, music theory, and much more from YouTube and blogs. Till now he has collaborated with many artists across India and abroad including international artists like Junior Paes. In 2018, he got recognition when he made a remix of ” Marshmallow – happier” which Crossed around 100k+ streams on SoundCloud in a week. After that, His song ” So High ft. Junior paes ” got featured in Korea’s major music platforms such as Olleh, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, etc. In 2019, Swattrex started performing in clubs and music festivals across India. He also made a Duo named as ” so you know ” in collaboration with DJ Sin for performing in shows and releasing music. In 2019, he crossed 300k + subscribers on YouTube and crossed over 20 million + streams overall.

Swattrex still does not want to stop and wants to polish his craft and keep making amazing music in his career. Apart from music production, Swattrex is a computer science engineer, a graphic designer, video editor and a front end React native App developer. Currently, he is working in the Digital Marketing sector.

In 2020, Swattrex released many songs in different genres in EDM, Hip Hop and trap. He released his major collaboration with MTV Hustle Winner “M-zee Bella“ for song “Mein” which crossed 300k+ views worldwide across all the platforms in the first week of its release .

In 2021, Swattrex , released multiple songs with many talented rappers and singers from India such as Svig , Perin Mehta, Deeksha Gautam , Soch The Rapper and ERG etc . Swattrex will be releasing 5 new songs with GrooveNexus records in collaboration with talented artists Feales , Jordan , Ashkk and Aark . Stay tuned!
