Who is Alison Wonderland?
Born on 27 September 1986, Alexandra Margo Sholler, professionally known as Alison Wonderland, is a Disk Jockey (DJ), singer, songwriter and electronic dance music producer.
Alison Wonderland grew up in Sydney and is of Croatian descent. She learnt as a classical musician in cello and also performed as a Cellist with the Sydney Youth Opera. Later she also was a part of a few local indie rock bands as a bar guitarist.

Alison recalls how she decided to become a DJ. Her interest in electronic dance music started when she went out to a club called Candy’s Apartment. She stated she remembered someone playing Silent Shout by the Knife and walking over to the DJ asking about the track.
In 2018, she was also battling depression and suicidal thoughts due to an abusive relationship she was into. At that moment, she was going through a lot and ultimately lost her appetite for food. Alison Wonderland had no social interactions and also canceled many shows to focus on her mental health, as suggested by managers and personal doctors.

DJ Alison Wonderland first emerged in 2009. She worked as a remixer on Sam Sparrow’s- I Wish I Never Met You in 2012. In the same year, Alison Wonderland toured with the Parklife Music Festival from September to October.
Later in July 2013, Alison Wonderland released her debut single- Get Ready. Then she signed with EMI Music Australia in 2014. In the same year, on 27 June, she released her five-track debut extended play- Calm Down. In February 2015, her U Don’t Know music video gained popularity.
Alison Wonderland DJ was praised and appreciated for her involvement and diversity as a writer, producer and vocalist. On August 4 2015, she released Take It To Reality and the 4 September Run was released in the same year. A few days later, on 9 September, she released Games.
On 6 February 2016, she previewed the track Messiah. On 9 November 2017, Alison Wonderland released Happy Place. Later in 2018, on 6 April, she released an album titled Awake. The very same week she was billed as the highest female DJ to date when she played at Coachella on the Sahara stage.

In 2017, Alison wonderland won the Electronic Music Awards under the category of New Artist of the Year and in the same year, she also bagged Artist of the Year award at George FM Georgie Awards.
