Starting her ‘Eras’ tour, Taylor Swift delivered a 44-song set that lasted three hours at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.
Fans were taken on a musical journey through her body of work, as the 33-year-old singer/songwriter opened with ‘Miss Americana And The Heartbreak Prince’ from her 2019 ‘Lover’ album.
“I can’t even go into how much I’ve missed you. I don’t know how to process all this and how it’s making me feel right now. [But] let me start by saying you’re making me feel fantastic,” Taylor Swift said.
This comes after a five-year hiatus from touring, during which Taylor released three new albums.
Notable moments from the show included a 10-minute version of ‘All Too Well’, a performance of ‘Look What Made You Do’ against a video wall displaying Swift’s 17-year career, and ‘Blank Space’, featuring neon bike-riding dancers.
Gayle and Paramore supported the opening night of the 52-date tour. In honor of Taylor’s tour kickoff in Glendale, the city was temporarily renamed Swift City.
“There is no need to calm down; we’re fearless and doing something highly unusual to celebrate that Taylor’s concerts start right here!
“We know all too well that she’s one of the most influential artists of her generation, and we are writing our own love story for her and greeting every Swiftie in style!”
