There is light at the end of the tunnel! This popular phrase resonates well with many and singer Emmanuel Antao is one of them. Things turned from bad to worse when the coronavirus pandemic hit the world in early 2020. Antao, a musician from Chandor village in Goa, was forced to sell fish to earn a living during the lockdown. Antao has now made his debut with Hindi music.
However, things are now moving in the right direction for Antao. He recently launched his romantic music video, ‘Raah Pe’. Antao revealed how Sony Music general manager Richard Mascarenhas offered him support to boost his career.
“He (Richard Mascarenhas) urged me to get into Hindi music and shoot two videos as a start to give fillip to my career. From then on, there was no looking back,” Antao told The Times of India.
Even though Antao was getting singing contracts, it was not enough to manage the expenses required for video shoot. He further revealed how he risked his hard-earned money to produce the video of ‘Raah Pe’. “But as it was not much, I started looking for financial help to prepare the video. Some people promised help, but it never materialised. After a year of uncertainty and restrictions, I finally decided to take the risk and put my hard-earned money into shooting the video,” he further said.
Antao collaborated with lyricist Supraj Kerkar, music composer Joy Banerjee and project director Jojo Dsouza in January to shoot the video in parts of famous Goa beaches Utorda and Hollant.
Antao now wants to enter the Hindi music genre citing its global presence.
