Selena Gomez has broken yet another record, becoming the first woman to achieve a whopping 400 million followers on Instagram. The famous singer and actress has been a social media icon for years, with millions of fans worldwide following her every move online. Selena Gomez is now placed third in the list of most followed individuals on Instagram.
This latest achievement is a testament to her massive popularity and reflects her strong connection with her fans. Gomez has been an active user of Instagram for years, using the platform to share personal photos and updates with her followers.
Interestingly, the achievement on social media comes less than a month after she overtook Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman.
Previously holding the title of the most followed woman in 2019, Selena Gomez has now reclaimed the crown, surpassing previous title holders Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner. Interestingly, this achievement comes when Gomez has withdrawn from social media. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she shared that she has only kept the TikTok app on her phone and has implemented measures to shield herself from negative comments and online bullying.
“People can call me ugly or stupid, and I’m like, Whatever,” Gomez told Vanity Fair. “But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time.”
