Singer Ricky Martin is again facing a sexual assault lawsuit by an anonymous person in San Juan. However, Ricky Martin’s lawyers have denied the allegations and called the claims “wildly offensive.”
San Juan police spokesperson Edward Ramírez has revealed that a new sexual assault complaint has been filed against the famous singer.
Earlier this year, Martin’s nephew Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin made similar sexual assault allegations against the singer. However, Dennis later admitted under oath that the singer had sexually assaulted him.
Martin’s team recently sued Dennis over false claims of domestic violence.
Meanwhile, Martin’s lawyer José Andréu-Fuentes said Dennis was trying spread his lies again.
“These claims are wildly offensive and completely untethered from reality. When this person made similar allegations, his legal case had to be withdrawn — not least because he admitted under oath that Ricky Martin had never assaulted him in any way,” he said.
“Now, after being sued for trying to extort Mr. Martin, he is attempting to spread his lies again. It is beyond time that the media stops giving this distraught individual the oxygen of publicity and allows him to get the help he so clearly needs.”
