Pusha T has announced that his upcoming album “It’s Almost Dry” will be released on April 22. “It’s Almost Dry” is the long-awaited follow-up to the 2018 album “Daytona.”
The album “It’s Almost Dry” is co-produced by Kayne West and Pharrell Williams. The album will also consist of Pusha T’s single “Diet Coke,” co-produced by Kanye West and 88-Keys, and “Neck & Wrist,” featuring Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams.
In January, Pusha T had indicated that “It’s Almost Dry” would be his final release for Def Jam Recordings. Pusha T now has full ownership of his master recordings. However, Pusha T will remain a G.O.O.D. Music associate even though he’ll no longer be formally contracted to Def Jam, the rapper’s manager Steven Victor has confirmed.
“I’m on someone thousand percent rap superhero sh**, man. This era of Push is probably the most relaxed and competitive,” Pusha T told Complex.
Pusha T has released “No Problem,” “Sociopath,” “Coming Home,” and “Puppets (Succession Remix)” since Daytona in 2018. He has also collaborated with Babyface Ray for (“Dancing With the Devil”), Black Thought (“Good Morning”), Divine (“Jungle Mantra”), Mako (“Misfit Toys”), Swizz Beatz (“No Patience”), among other hits.
In 2020, Pusha T launched his label imprint — Heir Wave Media Group, to support budding artists in and around his home state of Virginia in the USA. He also runs a Third Strike Coming Home Campaign, an effort to free those serving life due to “3 Strikes” drug laws.
