NewJeans Tops Apple Music’s Global Year-End Chart, Surpassing BTS’s Jungkook

In a spectacular display of musical prowess, NewJeans, Hybe’s formidable 4th-gen K-pop sensation, has surged ahead of industry stalwarts, including BTS’s Jungkook, to reign supreme on Apple Music’s Global Year-End Chart. This rising star has not only taken the K-pop scene by storm but has also left an indelible mark on the international music landscape.

Comprising members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, NewJeans has rapidly emerged as a powerhouse, surpassing the accomplishments of many trendsetters in the industry. As Hybe’s most affluent female rookie group, their meteoric rise to global stardom is underscored by groundbreaking achievements on major music streaming platforms, particularly Spotify and Apple Music.

The pinnacle of their success lies in outshining none other than BTS’s Jungkook on the prestigious Apple Music Global Year-End Chart. NewJeans has secured a remarkable trifecta, with three of their tracks securing coveted positions in the top 100. The chart-toppers include “Ditto” at an impressive 19th place, “OMG” at a commendable 37th, and “Hype Boy” at a notable 64th. In contrast, Jungkook’s digital single “Seven” featuring Latto claimed the 48th spot.

The global recognition of NewJeans extends beyond individual tracks, as the group asserts its dominance in the realm of Korean music on a worldwide scale. In addition to their top three hits, “Attention” has claimed the 5th position, further solidifying their influence. The musical landscape also sees LE SSERAFIM’s “ANTIFRAGILE” at 6th place and IU’s “I AM” securing the fourth spot in the rankings.

Under the guidance of Hybe’s subsidiary ADOR, NewJeans has etched their names in history by becoming the first K-pop girl group to clinch a Billboard Music Award (BBMA) in the year following their debut. The South Korean quintet made headlines with a captivating performance on the prestigious BBMA stage, captivating audiences worldwide.

Beyond their musical accomplishments, NewJeans boasts an impressive portfolio of brand endorsements. Each member has secured affiliations with renowned luxury brands, adding to their allure. Minji represents Chanel, Hanni is the face of Gucci and Giorgio Armani Beauty, Danielle aligns with Yves Saint Laurent Beauty and Burberry, Hyein collaborates with Louis Vuitton, and Haerin serves as the brand ambassador for DIOR jewellery.

As NewJeans continues to ascend the ranks of global music, their multifaceted success signals not only a triumph for Hybe Entertainment but also a testament to the group’s unwavering talent and appeal. With their chart-topping hits and prestigious accolades, NewJeans is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with in the dynamic world of K-pop.
