The much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash is set to be released on April 14, but the song “Sulthan” has garnered rave reviews and won the hearts of the fans on the internet. The makers of the film released the song “Sulthan” on Wednesday, receiving over 3.9 million views on the video streaming platform YouTube.
The song talks about Yash’s (Rocky’s) rise to power, his love and kindness for the people, anger, struggle, and a lot more.
The film will have a nationwide release on Thursday in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
KGF: Chapter 2 is written and directed by one of the most sought-after directors in the film industry, Prashanth Neel. Vijay Kiragandur produces the action-packed film under the banner of Hombale Films.
Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and AA Films are promoting the film for the Hindi-language and Northern-India market. Apart from Sulthan, the film’s album will consist of four songs.
Lyricist Shabbir Ahmed said he had written three songs in the film, which talk about Yash’s aka “Rocky’s” character.
“The film has a total of four Hindi songs, out of which I have written three. Toofan is about the character’s larger-than-life personality and helps take the story forward. The rest of the songs talk about his power, his love and kindness for the people, his mother, the coal mines, life, pain, anger, struggle, and a lot more,” Shabbir told Pinkvilla in an interview.
Shabbir Ahmed has also worked with Bollywood in the past and has given hit albums like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Simmba. Shabbir also shares a close bond with superstar Salman Khan.
