BTS star Jungkook has revealed he has deleted many solo songs written by him because they did not please him. Jungkook, the youngest member of the K-pop band BTS, is a singer and songwriter.
“[They are] so many songs I’ve written that I haven’t been able to release. After making an effort to write them, I should have realized I should just edit them as much as I can to release them,” Jungkook told Weverse Magazine.
“But when I heard them again after a while, they didn’t sound good, so I just deleted them all,” he added.
He revealed that other group members have been incredibly supportive and encouraged him to write more.
“The other members tell me, ‘You have to keep making releases. That’s how you figure it all out.’ So, I’m writing songs lately,” he said.
He further stated that he wants to create something “unique,” but lyrics that don’t have any meaning.
“I want it to be really unique. I want to write lyrics that don’t have any meaning, like a song where the word ‘yeah’ is repeated for a whole verse – something like that – but it’s hard.”
BTS, which celebrated its 9th anniversary recently, announced that the group was going on an indefinite hiatus to focus on solo projects. Soon after the announcement, rumours mill started doing the rounds that BTS was disbanding.
However, Jungkook took to social media to clarify that BTS was not “disbanding.”
“Since there was a mess saying we are disbanding and what not. We are not disbanding, guys, and there are still a lot of things we need to do as a group. BTS is forever,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.
