On Tuesday, March 28th, Jisoo from BLACKPINK revealed a new appearance in the music video for her first solo single, “Flower,” which is yet to be released. “Flower” is part of Jisoo’s debut solo album, “ME,” which will be available on March 31st under YG Entertainment.
In the teaser, the BLACKPINK artist showcases an impressive selection of vibrant outfits that feature floral motifs, matching the song’s title.
The music video showcases Jisoo in various high-fashion ensembles. The sequence begins with her looking into a bathroom mirror wearing a casual pink top. Then, the scene cuts to her strolling in a ballroom in a brocade gown embroidered with pink flowers and sporting a lacy black top paired with a matching rosette around her neck.
Other fashionable moments in the video show Jisoo wearing a midnight blue crop top adorned with velvet and sequins and holding another matching rosette. Observers also see her wear a strappy cerulean dress made of small, sculptural flowers and an outfit in monochromatic purple with ribbons wrapped around her arms.
Despite the plethora of dazzling outfits, the teaser only offers a brief glimpse of the actual song. With Jisoo singing a single line in Korean before the track abruptly stops, revealing her name and the song title against a black screen.
Jisoo joins BLACKPINK members with debut solo
Jisoo will be the last member of BLACKPINK to debut solo music with the highly anticipated release. The other members, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, have already released their solo tracks. Jennie’s “SOLO” in 2018, Rosé’s record-breaking single album “R” in 2021, and Lisa’s “LALISA.” The girl group will also headline Coachella 2023 with Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean in a few weeks.
On July 2nd, BLACKPINK will perform at the BST Hyde Park concert series in London. Sabrina Carpenter, who sings “Nonsense,” will join the group on stage. South Korean indie rockers The Rose will be there along with emerging English pop singers Caity Baser and Mae Stephens.
