There is proof of campaigns by both artists and their teams a year before the voting lines open. A number of companies involved in the case of buying heavy mass votes from the youth of the country resulted in their golden ranking in 2016. Social marketing companies have bought votes for the rate of Rs. 3000 for every 500 votes a person collects from their friends and family or in exchange of goodies.

We have all known the top 100 DJ rankings every year. Some criticize it for being a popularity poll while some take it seriously. But, in reality, a DJ’s value is evaluated based on his rank in the top 100 DJ Mag ranking. Martin Garrix is world #1 DJ for the last two years. We expect that he will stay in the same position. Looking at his popularity, the quality of productions, the no. of shows and the music records, he ought to be world no. 1.

Every DJ is in the race of making his brand the best. Very frequent names include that of R3HAB, Hardwell, Don Diablo, and many more. These people are doing their best to get to the top, with all of the three in the top 20 already. Their positions in the list seriously affect their market value and demand.

In 2016, Lost Stories, one among the very prominent Indian DJs, entered the list with a whooping rank of #52. DJ Chetas on #33, had already found himself a spot in the list in 2015.

  • Indians can do wonders. Plus the name of Marnik in the campaign puts up a question too. As to why they have been touring so much in India. But, they have put out bangers like Bazaar, Mandala, Shiva with KSHMR for Sunburn’s official anthem. They deserve the spot.
    • Apart from India, DVLM (Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike), also known as the “iPad brothers,” are said to give away iPads in exchange for every vote. Pretty rich right?
