Belgian DJ Superstars Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have teamed up with Liquid State which is a joint venture label by Sony Music and Tencent Music Entertainment.
As a part of the deal, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike will work with Liquid State to release “global-focused” new tracks with Asia-based music artists, authorizing more than 300 powerful Stash the House catalog, including House of House in mainland China.
“One day I’ll fly away” is a first album released on October 26, a solo by Dimitri Vegas.
Over the previous 12 months, Liquid State has focused on electronic music, has been released by Alesso, Steve Aoki, R3HAB, Marshmello, Stray Kids, Jolin Tsai, and more. The label reports that its records have accounted for over 1.5 billion streams globally over the last 12 months.
Many mainland Chinese artists have been signed with Liquid state over the past few months.
This has included 16-year-old producer Crazy Donkey whose debut track, Morsmordre went viral in China due to a Tiktok trend and consequently ranked up to 180 million streams.
As prominent DJs for the last 10years, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have headlined many famous events such as Tomorrowland and founded their own label, Smash the House in 2010. They have been consistently ranked among the top names in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll year on year and have amassed over 1 billion streams since its inception.
Victor Lee, the managing director of Liquid State mentioned that “Alongside being two of finest DJ producers on earth, Dimitri and Mike are equally nice as music curators and creators as they’re A&R of their own labels.
And further said, “Liquid State is thrilled to symbolize Smash the Home in mainland China.”
