STAGE OTT Brings Haryana’s First AI-Generated Web series ‘Dada Chhoturam Ji’ to Geeta University
Panipat, Haryana: Haryana’s cultural spirit met cutting-edge technology at Geeta University, Panipat, as STAGE OTT, the regional entertainment platform behind the project, hosted a special screening of Dada Chhoturam Ji—being presented as Haryana’s first AI-generated movie by Ramesh Chahal.
The event brought together Haryanvi artists, students, members of the farming community, Chhotu Ram Ji’s relatives and the entire STAGE team, turning the screening into a lively celebration of Haryana’s culture, music and evolving entertainment landscape.
Created by STAGE OTT, Dada Chhoturam Ji explores the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in regional filmmaking, bringing together technology and a story deeply connected with Haryana’s cultural identity. The initiative reflects STAGE’s larger focus on creating and showcasing content that connects strongly with regional audiences while experimenting with new-age formats.
The screening witnessed the presence of popular Haryanvi artists including KD DesiRock, Azad Khanda Khedi, KP Kundu, Rakhi Lochab, Mannu Dabas, Ramkesh Jeevanpuria and Vinod Panihar. Their presence added to the excitement, with the audience enjoying music and performances featuring popular tracks such as “My Queen”. The event was also blessed by ‘Chhoturam’s family members.
The enthusiasm was particularly visible among the university’s young audience. Students showed keen interest in the film’s AI-led approach, making the screening an engaging intersection of technology, entertainment and Haryanvi storytelling.
For the farming community, however, the occasion carried a more emotional significance. The film’s connection with Haryana’s roots and Chotu Ram Ji’s legacy resonated strongly with the audience, while the presence of his relatives added a personal touch to the celebration.
The entire stage and creative team also came together for the occasion, making the screening a celebration of the people behind the project. The atmosphere remained energetic as artists, creators, students and audiences came together to experience the film and celebrate Haryana’s distinctive cultural identity.
The event highlighted how STAGE OTT is exploring new possibilities for regional entertainment, where technology does not replace cultural storytelling but becomes another medium through which local stories can reach contemporary audiences.

The Geeta University screening concluded amid considerable excitement and appreciation from the audience, marking an interesting milestone for AI-generated cinema in Haryana and another step in STAGE OTT’s journey of taking regional stories and voices to new-age audiences.
And this is only the beginning. Two more seasons of Dada Chhoturam Ji are already in the pipeline, as STAGE OTT looks to take its experiment with AI-generated storytelling further.
