The Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS) is thrilled to present the 2nd edition of the IPRS Stage at Kala Ghoda 2025, an Arts Festival, which celebrates its silver jubilee this year.

IPRS Stage at Kala Ghoda 2025

The IPRS Stage is a tribute to the rich and varied musical heritage of India, providing a platform for undiscovered talent and musical genres. It aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the incredible breadth of India’s musical landscape, shining a light on regional gems and diverse genres that are the heartbeat of the country’s cultural fabric. Scheduled for January 26 and 27, 2025, the IPRS Stage promises to unveil the soul of Indian music in all its vibrant, multifaceted forms.

On January 26, 2025, the Tetseo Sisters, a powerhouse folk group from Nagaland, will perform the soulful music of the Chakhesang Naga Tribe. With their intricate harmonies and vibrant cultural attire, the Tetseo Sisters will take you on a soulful journey with Li, the traditional songs of the Chakhesang Naga Tribe, sung in the Chokri dialect. Their performance is pure magic straight from the serene hills of Kohima, encapsulating the region’s rich customs and folklore. The performance offers a rare opportunity to immerse in the enchanting, yet lesser-known musical traditions of India’s Northeastern states, offering an intimate connection to their cultural heritage.

The next day, January 27, 2025, the Desert Kats will transport audiences to the vast expanses of Barmer, Rajasthan with their evocative performances of Langa community music. This talented group of musicians will present traditional tunes from the desert, employing instruments like the Sarangi, Khartal, and Algoza, each carrying the weight of centuries-old musical practices. The performance promises to be a moving journey through Rajasthan’s rich musical heritage, unraveling the captivating stories woven into its desert soundscapes.
