Legendary, Grammy-nominated electronic music producer duo Cosmic Gate return to the forefront with the release of new single ‘I’m On Fire’, alongside recurrent collaborator James French, as part of their highly anticipated album project Perspectives. The album will be unveiled in three parts, starting with Perspectives EP 1, set for release on March 28, 2025.
The Perspectives album concept sees Cosmic Gate embracing a phased release strategy, with each EP serving as a building block towards the full album, due later this year. This approach allows fans to experience the journey as it unfolds while still delivering the cohesive, story-driven experience that Cosmic Gate albums are known for.
Fusing elements of trance, progressive house, and melodic techno, ‘I’m On Fire’ takes listeners on an electrifying ride through swirling synths, ethereal vocals, and crashing drum patterns. As their first release of the year, the track sets the tone for 2025, reuniting Cosmic Gate with James French after the success of their 2024 collaboration ‘Take Me’. Sonically, ‘I’m On Fire’ leans into a mainstage-ready sound, featuring massive synth crashes and extended build-ups designed to ignite dancefloors worldwide.
Perspectives EP 1 will feature five tracks in total: ‘I’m On Fire’, ‘Take Me’, and ‘Brave’, alongside two new, unreleased Cosmic Gate productions.
For more than two and a half decades, German electronic duo Cosmic Gate has been pushing boundaries and showcasing their dynamic sound to the masses with classic releases like ‘The Drums’ (1999), ‘Exploration of Space’ (2001), and more recently, their two-part album series MOSAIIK (2021-2023). Following last year’s ‘Take Me’ with Cosmic Gate and his acclaimed 2023 collaboration ‘Pull Me Through The Fire’ with Matisse & Sadko – which premiered at Ultra and EDC Vegas – French has solidified his reputation as a rising star. With a unique ability to blend emotion and energy in his vocal performances, his work continues to resonate across the electronic scene.
Ahead of the release of Perspectives EP 1, Cosmic Gate will host a special livestream from a stunning rooftop location in Bangkok on March 5, 2025. The exclusive broadcast will premiere tracks from the upcoming EP and offer fans a first glimpse into the full Perspectives album journey.
