Pusha T has resigned from his position as head of Kanye West’s record company, G.O.O.D. Music.

The rapper, whose actual name is Terrence Thornton, joined the label in 2010 when it was still a part of Def Jam Recordings. In 2015, West named him president of G.O.O.D Music.

Pusha claimed that he had left the organisation in an interview for XXL magazine due to the controversial musician’s recent history of antisemitic remarks.

“We started working together in 2010. So, my relationship with him has never been like everybody else’s in regard to the filter. I never had a filter with him,” he said. “I’ve always spoke my mind. People gotta remember, too. This isn’t new for me when it comes to disagreeing with him politically and things like that.”

Pusha has previously spoken out against Ye, who in recent months has been using social media and interviews to spew hate speech towards Jews.

Ye tweeted that he will perform “death con 3” on Jews on October 16 in response to criticism he received for donning a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt during Paris Fashion Week in early October. This was the start of a spate of interviews in which he used nasty language that got even worse when he appeared on InfoWars with Alex Jones and said things like, “I see positive qualities about Hitler,” among other offensive statements.
