The new track, “Permission to Dance” is penned down by the ‘Perfect’ singer ED Sheeran and Johnny McDaid, Jenna Andrews and Steve Mac, and produced by Mac, Andrews, and Stephen Kirk.

The CD was released on July 9, 2021, with the brand-new track and is available in two different colors, Cream, and Peach as 9th July is a very special day for the ARMY since it is known as fandom’s official birthday. The release became a piece of even bigger news for the BTS Army.

BTS also released a set of new concept photos for the Butter special album in June and broke stereotypes by wearing skirts, iridescent hair colors, colorful, chokers, and ethereal visuals. Dressed in pop-punk style, BTS showed an edgy and funky sense of style in the new photos.

According to music chart data, ‘Butter’ is also only the eighth song in the history of music to stay at the top of the charts in its first seven weeks. Apart from being at the top of music charts, BTS also hit a new high in record sales. ‘Butter’ remained at the No. 1 spot on the Digital Song Sales chart with a total of about 109,000 albums sold. Its seventh-week sales are said to be greater than the biggest sales week for any other song that released this year. And their MV crossed 400 million views on YouTube, which is their 13th MV to cross this milestone.

Their new track in collaboration with Grammy-Award winner Ed Sheeran being their third English language song set a new record by surpassing 100 million views on its MV within just two days of its release after the coronavirus pandemic. Soon after the release of the video, the video topped the charts of iTunes, and the track was at the No. 1 spot in more than 90 countries. Before this buzz, BTS fans got #DynamiteTo1B trending on social media soon after the official music video crossed the 950 million mark on YouTube.
