Taylor Swift Re-Releases ‘This Love’ From the Album 1989

Taylor Swift has re-released ‘This Love’ From the 1989 album, first released in 2014. Taylor Swift is running a campaign to re-record her first six albums in a dispute over ownership of the master recordings.

Taylor Swift says Shake It Off

“This Love (My version!) is out & I’m currently reliving the 1989 tour in my head and spiraling,” Swift wrote on Instagram.

In 2019, Big Machine Records sold the master recordings of Taylor Swift’s first six albums to music manager Scooter Braun, known for managing Justin Bieber.

Taylor Swift claimed she was not allowed to purchase the recordings. On the other hand, Scooter Braun sold Swift’s masters to Shamrock Capital in 2020 after failing to strike a deal with the singing sensation.

However, the 11-time Grammy Award-winning singer pledged to re-record her first six albums. In 2021, Swift re-released 2008’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version), 2012’s Red (Taylor Version), and Wildest Dreams from the album 1989.

With two songs already re-released from the album 1989, fans wonder if that’s the third of six albums Swift would be re-recording and releasing again.

The 32-year-old singer has also planned to re-record 2006’s Taylor Swift and 2017’s Reputation.
