Olivia Rodrigo records official song for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

Grammy Award-winning artist Olivia Rodrigo has written and recorded “Can’t Catch Me Now” as the official song for Lionsgate’s highly anticipated film, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.”

In keeping with a tradition established since the inception of “The Hunger Games” film franchise, where top recording artists like Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and Lorde have contributed original songs, Olivia Rodrigo now adds her name to this esteemed roster.

Musical Performances by the Cast

“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” not only features Olivia Rodrigo’s musical contribution but also showcases memorable musical performances by Rachel Zegler, who portrays Lucy Gray Baird in the film and is an accomplished singer in her own right.

Recently, the studio released Zegler’s rendition of “The Hanging Tree,” originally performed by Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games,” which achieved significant chart success.

Plot Summary

The film’s narrative revolves around Coriolanus (Blyth), the last hope for his family’s once-proud Snow lineage, which has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. Coriolanus is tasked with mentoring Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler), a tribute hailing from the impoverished District 12.

“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” is set to hit theaters exclusively in most parts of the world on November 17.

Dating Rumors Surround Olivia Rodrigo

In addition to her musical achievements, Olivia Rodrigo has been making headlines due to rumors about her romantic involvement with British actor and “Enola Holmes” star Louis Partridge. The two have been spotted spending quality time together in London, fueling speculation about their budding relationship.

Sources indicate that their initial connection occurred through mutual friends earlier this year, and they have maintained contact since. Recent sightings of Olivia and Louis at a London club, where they openly displayed affection for one another, have added to the ongoing speculation.

A source close to the alleged couple shared with the US Sun, “Olivia flew to London with her best pal, singer Conan Gray, but it was Louis who she came to see. They met through mutual pals earlier in the year and have been messaging quite a bit. She has spent a few days in the capital hanging out with them all, but it’s been Louis, who she has been inseparable from. They have been for dinners and nights out. They hit a club together on Friday night and were acting very coupley. It’s really sweet to see her happy.”
