Nicki Minaj has announced her fifth studio album, which is set to be released on October 20, 2023. The album, which is currently untitled, will be her first in five years.
Minaj made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “10/20/23 The Album.” She also shared a photo of herself holding a CD with the album’s release date.
The album will be released under Minaj’s record label, Heavy On It, which she announced earlier this year. The label will also branch out to include genres outside of rap.
“When I get behind an artist, y’all know how I do shit for people that’s not even signed to me. Imagine what Imma do for the ones that’s signed,” she said.
“Don’t think my label is just rap, or Black, or anything. We got some other genres of music.”
Minaj has been teasing the album for a while now. In May, she released the song “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which is believed to be the lead single from the album. She has also collaborated with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Kim Petras on other songs this year.
Minaj is no stranger to success. Her previous albums have all been commercial successes, with her debut album, Pink Friday, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart. She has also won numerous awards, including 10 Grammy Awards nominations.

“Do you want me to perform this song on the NM5 TOUR?” Minaj captioned an Instagram video. “Do you want a YMCMB STADIUM TOUR after that? I rlly get to rap w|the best to ever do it. And still learning from them behind the scenes every day. Yikes.”
Minaj has not yet announced any specific tour dates, but she will likely embark on a tour supporting her new album. A tour would be an excellent way for Minaj to connect with her fans and promote her new music.
