Taken from the second chapter of his ‘Sound Advice’ album, due for global release this September, Armada blockbuster Ben Gold returns to rock the spot to redefine what it means to power on all cylinders, putting even more fire into his 2010 smash single ‘Sapphire’ with 2019’s ‘Sapphire (Recut)’.

Moments of clarity and calm are overwhelmed by the kind of trance fantasia, giving full overload from top to bottom. And with a colossal build and drop, Gold nominates himself as chief of festival lift-offs this year.

“The original Sapphire will always be one of my favorite records I’ve produced. It has an attitude and a real swagger about it. It’s designed for the dance floor. But music evolves, and almost ten years on, I wanted to produce a version for today’s dance floors and festivals that does the original justice. I’m certainly not trying to better the original though.”


Speaking from his studio in Amsterdam, Gold explained the reason for revisiting the original edit.

Ben Gold’s Sapphire (Recut) marks Gold’s return to the Garuda label. The track kick starts a massive run of new and original music that has been tearing up Gold’s sets over the past few months. Eagle-eyed fans may already have spied Gold’s next big hitter as part of a recent, impromptu appearance on ASOT.

Ben Gold has shaped a redoubtable reputation as one of the most innovative, accomplished, and prolific producers in the world of trance today. Self-taught at the age of 15, it took Ben just a year for his first original to be signed to the biggest compilation of the moment Trance Nation.

May 2018 saw the release of his much-anticipated debut album ‘Sound Advice Chapter 1’ on Armada Music. With that, Ben Gold laid down the most significant mark in his career. Featuring standout tracks including, ‘There Will Be Angels’ (feat. Audrey Gallagher), ‘Stay’ (feat. Sivan), and future anthems such as ‘New Republic’ and ‘The Conquest (with Omnia). Combined Spotify plays for ‘Sound Advice’ are about to hit one million streams just weeks after release. This is evidence that trance music is alive and flourishing in the mainstream when delivered by artists like Ben.

Ben Gold has built his name upon solid foundations having chiseled various notable achievements throughout his career. In 2016, his track ‘I’m in a State of Trance’ was voted by an audience of millions, on Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance’ radio show, as the official anthem for the ASOT 750 landmark events. It made the track one of the greatest hits of the year, racking up over 2.5 million Spotify plays to date. Moreover, it got a late 2018 re-boot and re-release, courtesy of the Tempo Giusto remix.

One of the most skilled studio engineers in the business, his ingenious ability casts a far and wide reach with some of the most established employing his craft trade to define their unique sound. He has been called upon to remix tracks for famous artists including Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Andrew Rayel, Omnia, Cosmic Gate, W&W, among several others.

Globally recognized by contemporaries and fans matched, as a leading producer in the genre of trance, Ben is renowned for his melodies and dancefloor-friendly arrangements. His impressive remake of the classic Marcel Woods’ Cherry Blossom’ was another blockbuster of 2016.

Earlier, Ben made notable leaps with singles on Gareth Emery’s Garuda label and his Goldrush imprint. This includes the runaway success ‘All or Nothing’ with Christina Novelli, which dominated the #1 position on the Beatport sales charts. It was a natural progression for Ben to then sign up exclusively with the global powerhouse Armada Music. Amanda Music dubbed him as “The future of trance music” in 2016 to release on their scene leading imprints such as A State of Trance, Armind and Who’s Afraid of 138.

Ben Gold graced the stages at A State of Trance, Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, Creamfields, and Dreamstate, at the same time, he’s equally at home rocking more intimate club venues for the trance enthusiasts. Summer 2019 witnessing him play at leading festivals around Europe and North America.

He made his presence felt at Untold Romania, Electronic Family Netherlands, and EDMania Slovakia; plus, leading clubs like Ministry of Sound – London and Hi Ibiza. Always an artist looking to push new boundaries, Ben Gold uncovered an exciting new project together with Omnia at the start of 2019 – FUTURECODE.

With a series of singles signed to Armada Music, the duo made their live debut as FUTURECODE on the biggest trance stage in the annual clubbing calendar – the 17,000 main stage at ASOT 900 in Utrecht in February. With festival and club shows confirmed across Europe, North America and Asia, the FUTURECODE project is on a roll.
