Music fans and live entertainment enthusiasts gear up for the biggest, iconic, mammoth music festival you have ever attended across India and Asia!

Global music phenomenon Lollapalooza is all set to breach a new frontier in the eighth destination of the festival in India, marking its inaugural, first-ever edition in Asia. With this world-class experience that’s never been seen before in the subcontinent, Lollapalooza brings its multi-genre music experience along with its brand of unique, diverse, and exciting flavours from the world of music to Indian shores. 

Featuring over 40 artists across various sounds, styles, and eras, four stages at the iconic Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai will be lit up, reverberating with chart-topping music, for over 20 hours with unforgettable live music, art, and culture on January 28th-29th, 2023.

BookMyShow, India’s leading entertainment destination, is spearheading Lollapalooza India as the promoter and co-producer for the festival’s Indian edition, along with global producers Perry Farrell and C3 Presents.

Taking the stage are the meteoric music giants Imagine Dragons and indie rock legends and global headliners making their India debut, The Strokes, who will headline the inaugural festival. American classic rock geniuses Greta Van Fleet, electronic dance music’s global heavyweight and pioneering dance music producer Diplo, and revolutionary EDM artist Zhu, Indo-Canadian Punjabi music and rap-star AP Dhillon, Dream-pop artists Cigarettes After Sex, will also perform at Lollapalooza India 2023 in its debut edition for the Asian continent.

And if this wasn’t enough, Lollapalooza India is also set to welcome the freshest of international sounds and home-grown superstar performers, including Prateek Kuhad, Divine, Japanese Breakfast, Madeon, Alec Benjamin, Jackson Wang, Chelsea Cutler, The Wombats, Imanbek, Kasablanca, Apashe, Raveena, The Yellow Diary, Bloodywood, Sandunes, Aswekeepsearching, The F16s, Kayan, Tejas, House of Hashbass, Madboy/Mink, T.ill APES, Kumail, Kavya, Mali, Tanmaya Bhatnagar, Easy Wanderlings, Abhi Meer, Bombay Brass, Parimal Shais, Siri, Tracy De Sa, Aadya – for an unforgettable start to 2023 in the Asian subcontinent.

The inaugural Lollapalooza India will be open to over 60,000 fans across both days. It will be a treat for Indians and Asians all across, offering not just music but a cultural experience of a lifetime with innovative culinary selections, art, fashion, and much more to be witnessed in India. 

Over three decades of pioneering and putting alternative culture on the map, Lollapalooza is a force amongst the foremost music festivals that multiple generations of fans have celebrated. Founder of the festival and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell was always ahead, creating a sound for the alternative generation that came of age in the 1990s.

After some great success in his early career, his band was headed for a brief hiatus with a farewell festival tour in July 1991 which soon became the global iconic platform Lollapalooza destined to change the landscape of live music forever.

Thirty-one years later, Lollapalooza is globally synonymous with an alternative lifestyle, music, and culture. It has traveled the world, with seven locations across three continents annually hosting the event. Everyone feels at home at Lollapalooza, a festival that celebrates the culture of music with inclusivity and unique experiences at the center of it.
