What started out as an idea on a paper in 2013 has now turned into a phenomenon. In 2013, Vh1 Supersonic hosted its first edition in Candolim, Goa.

It started out as an EDM-driven music festival and has now sprung into India’s biggest multi-genre experiential music festival. It has brought some of the best international EDM acts to India like Major Lazer, Incubus, and many more.

Lending more firepower to their techno scene, the global mecca of music, Vh1 Supersonic, is rigging up for better. Like always, Vh1 Supersonic continues to rise a notch higher with their ever-expanding soundscape and amazing line-ups. From bringing energetic electronica artists to the best Indie Rock artists to the global pioneers of hip-hop music, this edition will have everything. The music, vibes, and the experience, everything and more, will be better than ever. So, get yourself ready for 2 days of awesomeness!

“I’m incredibly excited to know that fans are going to experience an avalanche of new music, new genres, and brand-new experiences at our festival in Pune”, says the festival curator of Vh1 Supersonic, Nikhil Chinapa.

Vh1 Supersonic 2019, will commence on February 16 and 17 in Pune. It will witness Jaden Smith perform songs from his debut album ‘Syre’. He is rumored to first perform in Hyderabad followed by his performance in Gurugram.

MARSHMELLO

Christopher Comstock, alias Marshmello, is an American Electronic Dance Music producer and DJ. He first stole the limelight by remixing songs by DJs Jack Ü and Zedd and later joined hands with artists like Omar LinX, Ookay, Jauz, and SlushIi.

He gained international recognition with his song ‘Alone’ when it appeared on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 2017.

His stage name, as well as his Marshmello mascot, was inspired by the Canadian DJ and Electro House producer Deadmau5, who, uses an alternate spelling and performs with a ‘dead mouse’ mascot.

Marshmello’s stratospheric rise has been faster than that of any of his hidden compatriots, thanks to ingenious marketing and chart-topping hits. His songs made him rank in Forbes’ annual ranking of the world’s highest-paid DJs less than two years after his first performance. He was a winner MTV Europe Music Awards 2018’s Best Electronic Artist.

Marshmello also happens to be a true Bollywood fan.

JADEN SMITH

Jaden Smith is going to make a debut visit to India this year at Vh1 Supersonic 2019. With over 800 million streams of his music, he is considered to be a major draw for the festival. He will perform songs from his debut album Syre during his maiden gig. Syre is a very special album for him as it was in making for three years.

BONOBO

Simon Green, a.k.a Bonobo, is a British music producer and DJ. He started his musical journey with a Trip-Hop aesthetic and was a key catalyst in the Downtempo electronica scene that rose in the late 1990s. From Jazz inflicted to an upbeat tempo, his music has evolved into a more bassy beat with synths that. Green’s work has earned him a cult following over the years, and he has collaborated with a variety of other artists.

RUDIMENTAL DJ

Rudimental DJ is going to make the audience go all crazy this year at Vh1 Supersonic 2019. With their return, they will release their brand-new album ‘Toast to Our Differences’ which dropped on January 25, 2019.

Rudimental DJ comprises of songwriters and producers, Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, and Amir Amor, together with DJ Locksmith. Their eclectic musical backgrounds and sense of teamwork helps them keep their finger on the pulse of dance music. They grew up on everything from Grime to Jazz and Blues, from Hip-Hop to the House, from Basement Jaxx to Groove Armada, Massive Attack to Chase and Status. The hottest collective at the moment is without a doubt, Rudimental DJ.

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB

Indie Rock Band Two Door Cinema Club hails from Bangor and Donaghadee in County Down, Northern Ireland. The band established in 2007 and is consisted of three members: Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, synths, backing vocals).

The band’s debut album, Tourist History, was one of the most popular Indie records of the last decade. The band is all set to take Vh1 Supersonic 2019 in their stride with their debut performance.
