Engifest: Everything you need to know about three-day extravaganza

Delhi Technological College, New Delhi, had its three-day extravaganza, Engifest, a testimony to youth’s indomitable spirit, liveliness, and sheer energy symbolizing college life. This year, the fest took place from 17th to 19th February 2023. The festival was oozing with fun, vibrancy, and entertainment.

Engifest is a student-run non-profit organisation that primarily serves young people and is one of our nation’s biggest undergraduate cultural festivals. It seeks to close the creativity-technical education divide. The participants experienced a flurry of emotions at various events, including drag shows, plays, rock concerts, live wire, cultural performances, and vehicle stunts. Along with performances by performers Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal-Shekhar, Amit Trivedi, Papon, and Hard Kaur, several musical groups were on stage, including Parikrama and Euphoria.

Engifest was created to observe the fusion of cultural, philosophical, scientific, and technological brain waves. P. B. Sharma, vice chancellor at DTU, opened Engifest. The Engifest is a hub for various events in the arts, including dance, theatre, music, fashion, literature, and star nights.

Since its inception in 1974, Engifest has significantly changed in size and scope. Recently, it attracted over 80,000 visitors and participation from more than 300 colleges. DTU Engifest has carved out a place for itself among the nation’s most sought-after cultural festivals. As a result, the DTU college festival has grown to become one of Delhi’s largest college festivals in North India.
