Oktoberfest Delhi 2018 is set to make your October a blast!

The boisterous volksfest of Munich, Germany has set its foot in Delhi with equivalent pomp and show. The Oktoberfest Delhi 2018 is happening on 26th-27th October 2018 at Aerocity. And yes, it is going to be one of the biggest folk festivals with beer!

Munich Oktober Fest 2018 wrapped up on 7th October. It began on the 22nd of September. This 16-18 days fest is a festival with an attendance of over 6 million people every year. It began as early as 1810 in Germany to celebrate a royal wedding. Slowly the concept started setting its foothold over other countries. Thereafter, it began in India.

What to look for?

The Oktoberfest Delhi 2018 will host ‘Die Derbys’, an aboriginal Oktoberfest Munich Band. They’ll rock the stage each day and will get the crowd grooving to German tunes.

India is a new beer-drinking country with people ready to explore newer flavors. Hence, Oktoberfest is a perfect occasion to experience German cuisine with varieties of Wheat, Ale, Lager, Kolsch, and other delicacies from different areas of Germany. Bars that host Oktoberfest create an ambiance by getting authentic Bavarian delicious. Take, for instance, cheese hedgehog, Sauerkraut and potato, chorizo and mushroom tapas paired with wheat/lager beers are to die for. Furthermore, to heighten your authentic experience, Erdinger Hut (another aboriginal from Oktoberfest), an imported wooden chalet will be served in the house. It will be its first time in Delhi. Likewise, Gourmet German food and exclusive draught beers, namely, Erdinger, Hoegaarden, and Hoppers will be served.

Additionally, Oktoberfest Delhi 2018 will host ‘Oktoberfest funfair’ highlighting games and activities for youngsters and families.

The hype around the beer festival is consequently, only increasing with time. More homegrown beer labels are sprouting, and not to mention, the resto-bars serving people unusual somethings to try, spontaneously.
